It has been observed that students residing in rural and semi-urban areas in India do not have access to quality coaching for JEE and other Entrance exams due to which such students are unable to compete in Entrance exams. It has also been observed that students who avail of quality coaching in urban centers of India tend to forget lots of chapters taught previously as the syllabi proceeds ahead. Since there are 100+ chapters in the syllabi of these Entrance exams, it is quite possible that the student may have not understood a chapter fully when it was taught in class or may simply want to revise the same. Thus, there is a universal need felt by students from all backgrounds to access video lectures in all the topics of the subjects of Maths, Physics & Chemistry which are there in JEE syllabi.
It is in this context that IIT-P has joined hands with an educational company and launched a Pen Drive which has 500 hours of video lectures delivered by experts on the basic concepts of the chapters of Maths, Physics and Chemistry. The video lectures are powerful tools to revise a topic or get a quick grasp on the basic concepts of a chapter. The lectures focus on systematic and clear explanation of the theory along with solved examples and numericals. However, the video lectures are not pitched at JEE ADVANCED levels and hence the level of questions solved in the video lectures will be sufficient for Board exams, MHT-CET & JEE MAINS. Thus, the video lectures are not a substitute for classroom lectures at IIT-P but they are a useful tool for revision.
Students can buy the PEN DRIVE from IIT-P offices. Alternately, a TABLET is also available containing the video lectures.
