Since 2006, PRODIGY students of Std.8,9,10 from IIT-P have been routinely bagging medals, scholarships and top prizes in all inter-school competitive exams like NTSE, MTS, IPM, NSTSE, Homi Bhabha, Asset Online, NSO etc.
A number of GRANDMASTERS students of IIT-P who are in Std.12 have bagged KVPY scholarships and have qualified in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Astronomy Olympiads since 2002. In fact, the All India Rank Position 2 in KVPY has been bagged by an IIT-P student in 2015. The only International Physics Olympiad Camp selection from Pune in 2015 is also an IIT-P student. Every year, around 10 IIT-P students bag the KVPY scholarship.
